Blue Plaque for Luke L. Macassey - 9 May 2008

On the 100th anniversary of his death Luke Livingstone Macassey was honoured with a blue plaque on this former office in the presence of his fellow civil engineers and Belfast's leading citizen. Lord Mayor Jim Rodgers paid tribute to a man with the vision and professionalism to ensure that the city had a sufficient supply of fresh water to underpin its steady growth throughout the 20th century.
