| The Circle has a current list of over 80 individuals who are being considered for Blue Plaques. If you would like to add to the list you can email us at info@ulsterhistory.co.uk explaining your nomination and providing biographical information including date and place of birth and date of death.
The scheme is aimed at men and women who have made significant contributions to the advancement of ideas and particularly in such fields as the arts and sciences, literature, industry, religion or sport and whose contributions can be rightly associated with the historic province of Ulster. The general rule is that a proposal to put up a plaque is not considered unless the person to be commemorated has been deceased for at least 20 years - less if he or she was born more than 100 years ago. |
